NTPG: Acknowledgments

The K-12 Network Technology Planning Guide's (NTPG) acknowledgments for everyone who contributed to the guide.

Improving California's educational system is a monumental goal shared by many. The California Department of Education (CDE) created the K-12 Network Planning Unit in order to address one very important component of this goal - the integration of network technology into schools.

This K-12 Network Technology Planning Guide (The Guide), the first publication from the K-12 Network Planning Office, is designed to assist all schools wishing to gain access to the vast and exciting resources available via networks. The CDE wishes to thank all those who have contributed to this guide.

The Guide was the result of a collaborative effort involving dozens of individuals and schools. Carole Teach, of the CDEs Network Planning Office managed every aspect of The Guide's creation. Under her guidance, leading experts were identified, then hundreds of pieces of data were collected, interpreted, prioritized and integrated into a comprehensive picture of a good network system. To date The Guide is the only publication of its kind in the nation.

Our gratitude is extended to the members of the K-12 Network Technical Planning Committee (TPC) for their dedication, expertise, and extraordinary devotion to the improvement of education.
