The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued the first in a series of questions and answers stemming from USDA training on the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Second Interim Rule that was presented to state agencies in May and June 2005. This first set of questions and answers pertains to the application processes for both new and renewing CACFP institutions.

If you have any questions regarding this subject, please contact the CACFP specialist assigned to your agency in the Child Nutrition Information Payment System (CNIPS). You will find a list of contact information for specialists in the Download Forms section of the CNIPS. You may also contact the Help Desk by phone at 800-952-5609, option 6.
