School Nutrition Program Training Plan

The training plan addresses the topics identified in the School Nutrition Program Training and Education Needs Assessent (TENA) committee's recommendations (March 2012).

The purpose of this plan is to share the CDE’s training priorities for School Years (SY) 2013–18 with partners and stakeholders—including school districts—as they plan and provide training for school nutrition personnel. This plan includes the trainings that the CDE offers or plans to offer during SY 2013–18, either independently or in collaboration with partners.

The SNP training plan includes the category and topic per the TENA committee’s recommendations and ties it to the School Nutrition Association’s Key Areas for Professional Development. It lists the name, format, and source of the training, and also indicates the school year(s) in which the training will be available to SNP personnel.
