This Management Bulletin communicates a revision to the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) reimbursement-claiming alternative known as Provision 3. The purpose of the revision is to make Provision 3 more consistent with Provision 2.
Effective July 1, 1998, schools operating under Provision 3 may implement the provision in either the NSLP, School Breakfast Program (SBP), or in both programs. Previously, schools operating under Provision 3 were required to operate Provision 3 for both the NSLP and SBP.
