The IEG scale is effective July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2012, and is located at the California Department of Education Rates, Eligibility Scales, and Funding Web page at http://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/nu/rs/.

Calculation Methods

Sponsors should multiply household income that is received weekly by 52; twice a month by 24; every two weeks by 26; and once a month by 12. This calculation method is consistent with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Eligibility for School Meals Manual located on the USDA Web site at http://www.fns.usda.gov/cnd/guidance/EliMan.pdf.
