The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), has issued Policy Memorandum SP 28-2013: Questions and Answers on the School Breakfast Program (SBP) Meal Pattern in School Year (SY) 2013–14. The FNS issued the memo to provide questions and answers regarding the New Meal Pattern (NMP) requirements for breakfast established under Section 201 of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, Public Law 111-296. The questions and answers can be found in Policy Memo SP 28-2013 on the USDA School Meals Policy Memos Web page at http://www.fns.usda.gov/cnd/Governance/policy.htm.
