Welcome and introductions  
The charge to the appointees to the Translations Advisory Group (TAG)

Deputy Superintendent Stickel will review with appointees the duties of the advisory group.

Review of the agenda; review of ethics documents and responsibilities

Deputy Superintendent Stickel will review with appointees the agenda for this meeting; the Bagley-Keene law; the Form 700; ethics training and certificate; oath certificate; and policies regarding incompatible activities.

Administration of the oath for appointees
Travel reimbursements

Deputy Superintendent Stickel will remind TAG members to meet with CDE staff after the meeting in order to obtain information about travel reimbursements, as necessary.

This agenda item is included for the purpose of giving anyone in attendance an opportunity to ask questions or discuss non-agenda items with the advisory group.

Future meeting dates and agenda items

The presiding officer and TAG members will project optional dates for the next meetings and determine agenda topics for the second meeting.

Break periods may be determined at the discretion of the presiding officer.

Visitor parking is available in State Parking Lot #14, located at 1517 13th Street (between 13th and 14th streets). The entrance to the parking structure is on 13th Street. There are approximately 80 rooftop spaces that have been identified for visitors to use. The rate is $1.25 per half an hour. Parking hours are from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and a parking attendant is on site.

The meetings of the Translation Advisory Group are staffed by the California Department of Education.
