This guide, developed by the California Department of Education,
in collaboration with the Los Angeles County Office of Education,
responds to California teachers and administrators faced with
a growing need to successfully manage unwanted behavior in the
classroom. The guide addresses a wide range of student behavior
problems in order to create "environments conducive to learning,"
as required in the No Child Left Behind
Act of 2002 (NCLB).
