- Torlakson Whooping Cough Public Service Announcement (Posted 30-Sep-2011; WMV; 30sec.)
- Text: "Hello, I'm Tom Torlakson, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, with an important health reminder for parents. Under a new state law, all students entering 7th through 12th grade now need a booster shot to protect them from whooping cough. Students without the booster shot cannot attend school. This new law will help protect your child and your family from this highly contagious disease. Free booster shots are available for Medi-Cal eligible children. Check with your local health department for a clinic near you. Let’s keep every student where they need to be – in good health, and in school!"
