SACRAMENTO — State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O'Connell and State Controller Steve Westly sent the attached letter to the Sinclair Broadcasting Group. The Controller and Superintendent, both board members of the California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS), expressed their concern about Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc.'s (SBGI) partisan activities. CalSTRS owns 119,938 shares of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and two bonds.
