SACRAMENTO — State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O'Connell issued the following statement on the appointment of Tom Campbell as Director of the Department of Finance.

"Governor Schwarzenegger has made an excellent choice in his selection of Tom Campbell as his Director of Finance. I served with Tom on education budget subcommittees in the Legislature and know he is a strong advocate for public education. Tom brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this new position. I look forward to working with him again to provide resources to schools that will help all students in California reach their full potential."
