State Schools Chief Tom Torlakson to Attend Inglewood Services
State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson and Inglewood Unified School District State Administrator Kent Taylor will attend and speak at several services Sunday at St. John Chrysostom Church in Inglewood. Several of the services will be conducted in Spanish.
Torlakson appointed Taylor in October to oversee the financially troubled Inglewood Unified’s return to solvency after the school district was taken over by the state as a condition of receiving an emergency loan of up to $55 million.
