State Schools Chief Tom Torlakson to Tour
Green Technology California Partnership Academy in Ceres

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson will tour the Ceres High School's Manufacturing Production and Green Technology (MPGT) Academy Friday. Following the tour, Torlakson will be available to speak with the media about these programs, accompanied by Assembly member Adam Gray (D-Merced), Ceres Unified School Superintendent Scott Siegel, and Academy representatives.

MPGT is a California Partnership Academy (CPA). The CPA model is a three-year program structured as a school within a school. CPAs integrate academic and career technical education, business partnerships, mentoring, and internships.

These academies align with Torlakson's Career Readiness initiative, designed to help lower the dropout rate and provide graduates with the real-world skills needed to succeed after graduation.
