SB 472 Mathematics State Board Approved Providers

Listing of State Board of Education approved training providers for mathematics.

Providers Approved for 2007 Primary Adoption for SB 472

Please note: The Mathematics and Reading Professional Development Program (SB 472) is part of the full fiscal flexibility outlined in Senate Bill 4 of the 2009-10 Third Extraordinary Session (SBX3 4) (Chapter 12, Statutes of 2009). LEAs may utilize all of their Mathematics and Reading Professional Development Program funds to provide services for the program or they may use all or part of their funds for other educational purposes and/or other categorical programs. LEAs will be deemed to be in compliance with program and funding requirements contained in statutory, regulatory, and provisional language.

Please refer to the Fiscal Issues Relating to Budget Reductions and Flexibility Provisions (DOC; 196KB; 16pp.) guidance letter for information on provisions that apply to all programs.

The information provided on this page is for historical purposes. Contact information might have changed since the last update on August 18, 2009. Applications for providers are no longer being accepted.

SB 472 provides incentive funding for professional development for kindergarten through grade twelve teachers. Beginning January 1, 2007, all providers and their training curriculum for the initial 40 hours of SB 472 professional development must be approved by the SBE prior to conducting training. CDE will not reimburse local educational agencies (LEAs) for 40-hour SB 472 training providers who are not approved for the specific instructional materials the LEA is claiming.

Below is the current listing of mathematics instructional materials programs and the training providers that are approved to conduct 40-hour SB 472 training in each curriculum for the 2007 primary adoption. The training providers for previous adoptions (2001 primary and 2005 follow-up) are listed on a separate Web page.
