Providers Approved for 2001 Primary & 2005 Follow-Up Adoptions

Note: Please refer to the Fiscal Issues Relating to Budget Reductions and Flexibility Provisions for guidance regarding the California Department of Education’s understanding and implementation of education trailer bill Senate Bill 4 of the 2009-10 Third Extraordinary Session (SBX3 4) (Chapter 12, Statutes of 2009).

SB 472 provides incentive funding for professional development for kindergarten through grade twelve teachers. Beginning January 1, 2007, all providers and their training curriculum for the initial 40 hours of SB 472 intensive professional development must be approved by the State Board of Education (SBE) prior to conducting training. Providers that were previously approved to conduct AB 466 training must be reapproved by California Department of Education (CDE) staff before conducting SB 472 training. CDE will not reimburse local educational agencies (LEAs) for 40-hour SB 472 training providers who are not approved for the specific instructional materials the LEA is claiming.

The current listing of mathematics instructional materials programs and the training providers that are approved to conduct 40-hour SB 472 training in each curriculum for the 2007 primary adoption is on a separate Web page. The training providers for previous adoptions (2001 primary and 2005 follow-up) is listed below.
