Common Core and Beyond: A Practicum on Literacy in the Content Areas, Mathematics, Instructional Strategies, and Assessments
This is a reminder about the fifth seminar in this series—brought to you by the California Teachers Association, the California Department of Education (CDE), the Comprehensive Center at WestEd, and the Association of California School Administrators—designed to deepen educator understanding of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and the Smarter Balanced assessments. Sponsored through a grant provided by the National Education Association, these one-day seminars offer workshops; many provided by classroom practitioners; in the areas of curriculum, technology, literacy across the content areas, and assessment. The seminar will be held on May 3, 2014, at Embassy Suites in Oxnard. Please see the attached flyer for more information. [This series has concluded.]
CCSS Implementation Survey Now Ongoing and Available for Public Review
Local educational agencies (LEAs) have been invited to participate in a voluntary, ongoing survey of local implementation activities. Each LEA has been provided with a unique Web address linked to its own survey and is free to update its responses at any time. You may review the implementation survey questions on the CDE CCSS Implementation Survey Web page or search for and view participating district or direct-funded charter school survey responses on the CCSS Implementation Survey Search Web page.
