The Education Fiscal Services Administrator (EFSA) with direction from the Director, supervises staff who perform the more sensitive and complex education fiscal services assignments in the areas of fiscal and budgetary law, allocations, policies, practices and procedures for state and federal education programs. Incumbents have extensive knowledge of, provide assistance to, and supervise staff who provide assistance to, local educational agencies (LEAs) in all areas of fiscal, budgetary and other business related activities. Activities include accounting, budget development, LEA solvency assessment and strategies, fiscal data and other data management, apportionments, and district reorganization.

Qualifications Assessment Questionnaire
The California civil service selection system is merit-based, and eligibility for appointment is established through a formal examination process. The Education Fiscal Services Administrator examination consists of a Qualifications Assessment Questionnaire (QAQ) that will be used to evaluate your experience, education, and training. The QAQ is the entire examination and will account for 100% of your score. Candidates will receive notification of their score by mail.
