Waiver of Special Education Program

The following is an example of language that has previously been used when state board has considered Special Education waivers.

Authority for the waiver: Education Code 56101

Education Code 60851.  (a) Commencing with the 2003-04 school year and each school year thereafter, each pupil completing grade 12 shall successfully pass the high school exit examination as a condition of receiving a diploma of graduation or a condition of graduation from high school.

The preceding section, which is section 60851 (a), has strike-out but indicates the exact language being waived and is still valid.
