Attention: All County Centralized Eligibility List Administrators and All Executive Officers and Program Directors of All Child Care and Development Programs

Purpose

The purpose of Management Bulletin (MB) 11-19 is to transmit two sample parent notification letters which may be used by Centralized Eligibility List (CEL) Administrators when notifying families in accordance with MB 11-15.

Background

In May 2011, the California Department of Education (CDE), Child Development Division (CDD) posted MB 11-15 that required by June 15, 2011:

CEL Administrators are encouraged to use the following sample parent notification letters attached when notifying families:

Both samples would require the CEL Administrator to insert local information (e.g., county name, agency name, contact information) prior to using these documents.

We would also encourage, if time and resources permit, the letter to be personally addressed to each family.
