ATTN: Alternative Payment Contractors—Are You Reporting Monthly Payments Correctly?
On the CDD-801B (monthly sample) data submissions, we’ve noticed that a number of Alternative Payment (AP) contractors are reporting the Cost of Care incorrectly. To clarify the correct dollar amount that should be reported, we’ve revised the data definition for “State Subsidized Monthly Payment for This Child Care.” AP contractors are urged to review this revised data definition.
Specifically, the dollar amount that should be reported is the provider’s full charge for child development services in the report month, as agreed to by the AP contractor, before any adjustments are made because of family fees or co-payments. Depending on the approach used by your AP program for handling family fees or co-payments, this amount could be the same as the check your AP writes to reimburse the provider or it could be very different. Please review Alternative Payment Example 1 through Alternative Payment Example 4 in the revised data definition for “State Subsidized Monthly Payment for This Child Care.”
Change in File Processing Schedule for CDMIS Test Web site
The schedule for processing files uploaded to the CDMIS Test Web site, originally posted in CDMIS Update - Issue #3, has been changed. The CDMIS Test Web site will now process files every half hour from 7:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m., daily. The process of reviewing the files only takes a few minutes, so you can check back sooner to see those results. For example, if you submitted a file to the CDMIS Test Web site at 10:45 a.m., you can check back as soon as 11:05 a.m. to view the Electronic File Status Report for that file.
As always, agencies are welcome to contact CDMIS Staff for assistance with any CDMIS reporting questions. Stay tuned for more UPDATES. We welcome your comments, as well as suggestions for topics to be discussed in these CDMIS UPDATES.
