Charter schools funded pursuant to the charter
school funding model receive state and local funds from three
sources as follows:
- General-purpose entitlement, provided from a combination of
state and local sources, in lieu of revenue limit funding, and
in an amount per unit of average daily attendance in specified
grade level spans (California Education Code[EC] sections 47633
and 47635
) - Charter school categorical block grant funds, provided in
lieu of separate funding for specific categorical programs,
and in an amount per unit of average daily attendance in specified
grade level spans (EC Section 47634
)
- Funds provided in lieu of Economic Impact Aid (EC Section 47634[f]
)
