Student National Origin Report 2010

Information and resources from the California Department of Education for the 2010-11 Student National Origin Report(SNOR).

The California Department of Education (CDE) collects the number of immigrant students to determine the amount of funding. For the 2010 – 11 fiscal year, eligible school districts, county offices of education and direct funded charter schools will receive 105 dollars for each eligible immigrant student.

Information from the CDE about the number of immigrant students that are submitted by school districts, county offices of education and direct funded charter schools will be reported on the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS) during the 2010 – 11.

Private schools do not receive funding. These schools may receive programs and services from the local educational agency (LEA) that serves the geographic area in which the private school is found. Private schools will continue to submit the number of immigrant students on the SNOR Online Reporting Web page.
