Title III Accountability Requirements 2013

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), requires that all Title III funded local educational agencies (LEAs) and consortia annually meet Title III accountability criteria. LEAs and consortia that receive Title III funds will be identified as not meeting the Annual Measurable Achievement Objective (AMAO) criteria if they do not meet one or more AMAO criteria in a year.

LEAs identified for improvement under Title I (PI) and/or Title III are subject to requirements under each accountability system. See List of 2012-13 LEAs Identified for Improvement Under Title I and/or Title III (XLS). LEAs and consortium leads subject to Title I and/or Title III Accountability requirements are notified by letter of their improvement status and directed to appropriate CDE Web links for details on the specific accountability requirements.
