California Title I Conference

From Foundation to Innovation
A Blueprint for Great Schools

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act requires Title I schools to receive technical assistance to identify instructional strategies and methods that address the specific instructional issues causing local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools to be identified for program improvement (PI). One way that the California Department of Education does this is to provide assistance to the field by hosting a face-to-face conference. This two-day conference will provide a forum for sharing promising, research-supported educational practices and strategies, basic Title I requirements, and innovative ways to improve student learning.
