1

This school's proportion of students excused at parent request compared to its 2010 Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) program enrollment on the first day of testing is equal to or greater than 10 percent.

When a school's proportion of parental waivers is equal to or greater than 10 but less than 20 percent, the California Department of Education (CDE) conducts standard statistical tests to check whether the pupils tested at the school were representative of the entire school's population. This school failed the statistical test or its proportion of parental waivers in 2010 is 20 percent or greater, therefore, the school does not have a valid Academic Performance Index (API) for 2010.

2

This school (or the district on behalf of the school) has certified to the CDE that during the 2010 STAR testing an adult irregularity in testing procedure occurred at the school affecting 5 percent or more of pupils tested. Therefore, this school does not have a valid API for 2010.

3
For at least one 2010 STAR content area used in the API, this school failed to test a significant proportion of students who were not exempt from testing in 2010.

4

In 2010, this school had fewer than 11 valid 2010 STAR test scores. No reliable API can be calculated with so few scores.

5
2010 Growth API is not reported for this school because CDE is currently reviewing the 2010 STAR or CAHSEE results. CDE will either publish the API for this school or provide a specific reason for invalidating the API when the investigation is complete.
6
School has California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) results but no valid STAR results. No reliable API can be calculated
