State Decile Ranks-Highest Cut Scores for 2012

Academic Performance Index (API) score for each decile rank by year for elementary, middle, and high schools.

Each year, schools receive a state decile rank according to their Base API score. API scores are sorted from the highest to the lowest, by school type, and divided into 10 equal ranks (i.e., deciles). A rank of 10 is the highest and a rank of 1 is the lowest. The tables below display the highest API score for each rank from 1999 through 2012. To determine the lowest API score for each rank, add one point to the API score identified in the adjacent lower rank. For example, in 2012, the highest elementary Base API score for rank 5 was 816 and the highest score for rank 4 was 798. Therefore, the lowest API score for rank 5 was 799 making the API range for rank 5 between 799 and 816.
