The CDE used alternative methods when calculating the results in the 2016 Accountability Transition Report. All schools will be included in 2016 Accountability Transition Report. Schools and local educational agencies (LEAs) that did not have four years of four-year cohort graduation data were evaluated using alternative methodologies. The following list identifies the data used to process the 2016 Accountability Transition Report:

The following list identifies the data used to process the 2016 Accountability Transition Report:

  • Participation Rate: 2016 Smarter Balanced Summative Assessment results in grades three through eight and/or eleven

  • Four-Year Cohort Graduation Rate: 2014–15 graduation cohort data

  • Three-Year Average of the Four-Year Cohort Rates: Class of 2014 (2013–14 cohort), Class of 2013 (2012–13 cohort), and 2012 (2011–12 cohort).
1yr = One Year Average:

One year of cohort graduation data were used for the average.

2yr = Two Year Average:

Two years of cohort graduation data were used to calculate the weighted average.

3yr = Three Year Average:

Three years of cohort graduation data were used to calculate the weighted average.
