Glossary of terms for the 2005 Accountability Progress Report (APR).
School and Local Educational Agency Reports

The 2005 Accountability Progress Report for schools and local educational agencies (LEAs) provides information prior to the beginning of the 2005–06 school year about the Academic Performance Index (API) for the 2004–05 reporting cycle, 2005 Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), and 2005 Program Improvement (PI) status. An LEA can be a school district or a county office of education. This glossary is designed to assist in interpreting the report. A detailed description of the report is provided in the 2005 Accountability Progress Report Information Guide.

Organization of the Glossary

The glossary is divided into sections that correspond to each sub-report of the 2005 Accountability Progress Report. Terms in each sub-report glossary are listed in the order in which they appear on the sub-report.
