Summary of Data Definition Changes 2005-06

Approved by the State Board of Education in July 2006

• Throughout the 2005-06 SARC data definitions, all references to years have been modified to reflect the reporting of newer data. For example, data previously collected and reported from 2004-05 will be replaced by data collected and reported from 2005-06. In addition, minor editorial revisions have been made in many of the data definitions to improve clarity and readability.
  
  
• The data definitions have been reordered to conform to the reordering of the reporting elements in the SARC template.
  
  
• Some of the data definitions have been retitled to conform to the retitling of particular reporting elements in the SARC template.
  
  
• Some of the data definitions have been modified to reflect:
  
  
  • The realignment of particular reporting elements in the SARC template to state or federal requirements;
    
    
  • The combination of particular reporting elements in the SARC template into a single reporting element; and
    
    
  • The redesign of particular reporting elements in the SARC template to improve their readability and usefulness.
