School Facility Conditions and Improvements
Definitions
- Text indicates that the State of California Office of Public School Construction (OPSC) developed a new Facility Inspection Tool (FIT) to determine the safety, cleanliness, and adequacy of school facilities, replacing the former Interim Evaluation Instrument (IEI). The FIT will evaluate the same conditions as the former IEI, but will do so with ratings of "good," "fair," or "poor." The FIT will also provide an overall summary of the conditions at each school on a scale of "exemplary," "good," "fair," or poor."
