Definitions
For the most recent three-year period:
- The percentage of students tested at the school
- The API Base score
- The schoolwide growth target
- The school's statewide API rank (range: 1-10)
- The school's similar schools rank (range: 1-10)
- The schoolwide API Growth score
- Actual growth
Guidelines and Data Sources
This item is a requirement of both state law and NCLB. For federal
accountability purposes, California uses the API to meet the Adequate
Yearly Progress (AYP) requirement for an additional indicator.
