Specific Requirements
The total number of the school's fully credentialed teachers,
the number of teachers relying upon emergency credentials, the
number of teachers working without credentials, and any assignment
of teachers outside their subject areas of competence, for the
most recent three-year period.
The professional qualifications of teachers in the local educational
agency and the school and the percentage of such teachers teaching
with emergency or provisional credentials.

Definitions
For the most recent three-year period:
- Total number of teachers
- Full credential
- Teaching outside subject area (fully credentialed teaching
outside subject area)
- Teachers in alternative routes to certification (district
and university internships)
- Pre-internship
- Emergency permits (not qualified for a credential or internship
but meeting minimum requirements)
- Teachers with waivers (does not have credential and does
not qualify for an Emergency Permit)
Guidelines and Data Sources
Data are derived from the CBEDS Professional Assignment Information
Form, except for data regarding the assignment of teachers outside
their subject areas of competence that must be determined from
local data sources.
A report can be generated at DataQuest [http://data1.cde.ca.gov/dataquest/].
Teaching outside subject area of competence is, in most instances,
a subset of total teacher misassignments (see data definition
for Teacher Misassignments).
