System Requirements for PC Users
- PC computer running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista.
- Web authoring software (any software that will read a web
page and allow changes to be made and saved). Examples of web
authoring software are Microsoft Word (recommended), WordPerfect, Front Page, Dreamweaver, Netscape Composer,
and Microsoft Publisher.
System Requirements for Mac Users
- Macintosh computer running OS 8 or higher.
- Web authoring software (any software that will read a web
page and allow changes to be made and saved). Examples of web
authoring software are Microsoft Word (recommended), WordPerfect, Front Page, Dreamweaver, Netscape Composer,
and Microsoft Publisher.
Viewing Your SARC Template with Data
- Access the SARC Web page [http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/ac/sa/index.asp].
- In the SARC Coordinator Information section, select 2007–08 SARC.
- Under the Templates heading, select SARC Template With Data.
- Enter the User ID and Password and select the Logon button.
- Select your county, district, school, school year, and language from the dropdown menus. Then select the Submit button.
- You should see the "School Accountability Report Card Reported for School Year 2007–08 Published During 2008–09" for your school.
Saving Your SARC Template with Data
- From the File menu, select Save As.
- In the Save Web Page dialog box, in the Save In dropdown menu, select the location where you wish to save your SARC.
- In the Save As Type dropdown menu, select one of the following file types:
- For Microsoft Internet Explorer - "Web Page, complete {*.htm, *.html}"
- For Firefox - "Web Page Complete"
- For Safari - "Web Archive"
- Select the Save button.
Editing and Saving Your Revised SARC Template with Data
- Open your web authoring software application (Microsoft Word recommended, see System Requirements).
- On the File menu, select Open.
- In the Open dialog box, navigate to your saved SARC Template With Data and select the Open button.
- Edit the document as appropriate.
- Delete any unused sections.
- From the File menu, select Save.
Note: It is possible for electronic files to become
corrupted during the downloading process. Once you have downloaded
the file to your work station, please verify the document by checking
it against the Internet document.
