Preliminary 2014-15 Title III Accountability Data
Dear County and District Accountability and Title III Coordinators:
PRELIMINARY 2014–15 TITLE III ACCOUNTABILITY DATA
The purpose of this letter is to notify you that the preliminary 2014–15 Title III Accountability data are posted to the California Department of Education (CDE) Web site today. The data include the number and percentage of students who met annual measurable achievement objectives (AMAOs) 1 and 2. Links to the preliminary 2014–15 Title III data, the 2013–14 Title III Accountability Report Information Guide, and related materials are available on the CDE Title III Accountability Web page at http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/ac/t3/.
The 2014 California English Language Development Test (CELDT) annual assessment (AA) administration and selected demographic data from the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System are used to generate the AMAOs 1 and 2 results. These results include both initial and AA results from the CELDT administered during the AA window of July 1 to October 31 for students who were classified as English learners.
In order to determine if a local educational agency (LEA) or a consortium met the targets, the percentage meeting AMAOs 1 and 2 is compared to the targets for 2014–15. More Information about the 2014–15 targets for AMAOs 1 and 2 is provided on page 13 of the 2013–14 Title III Accountability Report Information Guide. The 2014–15 Title III Accountability Report Information Guide will be posted in fall of 2015.
The complete 2014–15 Title III Accountability Report, including AMAO 3, will be released in fall 2015. This report will include information on whether each LEA and consortium receiving 2014–15 Title III funding met each of the three AMAOs.
Please share this letter with your Title III Coordinator. If you have questions about Title III accountability, please contact Stephanie Woo, Education Research and Evaluation Consultant, Data Visualization and Reporting Office, by phone at 916-323-3071 or by e-mail at email@example.com.
