Civil Rights Review of Career Technical and Education
The Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO) ensures compliance with state and federal civil rights laws, and regulations in the delivery of education services. The OEO Office will be conducting on-site monitoring of LEAs for Civil Rights Review of Career Technical and Education (CTE) programs.
School Improvement Grants
The School Improvement Grant (SIG) provides funding to help LEAs address the needs of schools in improvement, corrective action, and restructuring to improve student achievement. The implementation of on-site monitoring of LEAs receiving SIG funds will begin in 2011.
21st Century Community Learning Centers
The Before and After School Program (BASP) which is administered by the After School Division (ASD) has oversight responsibilities for California's 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Programs. This federally funded program provides grant funding for five-year periods to establish or expand before-and after-school programs. The ASD will implement on-site monitoring of non-LEAs receiving 21st CCLC funds.
