Data Collection and Analysis

Data is collected from California schools to identify trends and educational needs and to measure student academic performance.

California English Language Development Test (CELDT) (Outside Source)
Educational Data Systems is the new CELDT contractor for test development, scoring, and reporting for the 2009-2010 through 2011-12 test administrations.

California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System
A longitudinal data system used to maintain individual-level data including student demographics, course data, discipline, assessments, staff assignments, and other data for state and federal reporting.

DataQuest
Reports for accountability (e.g., Academic Performance Index, Adequate Yearly Progress), test data, enrollment, graduates, dropouts, course enrollments, staffing, and data regarding English learners.

Ed-Data (Outside Source)
A comprehensive and user-friendly resource that combines a decade’s worth of financial, demographic, and school performance information about California’s education system.

Language Census Survey (R30-LC)
An annual data collection on students with non-English language backgrounds. Includes data pertaining to English learner and fluent-English-proficient students and other related information.
