On the Right Track 6

The symposium showcases schools and districts that have successfully implemented reforms leading to improved student achievement. The presentations describe their accomplishments.

In an ongoing effort to serve the field, the California Department of Education (CDE) has compiled a database of schools that have exited Program Improvement. This database also includes schools participating in the High Priority Schools program that demonstrated success in improving student achievement. From this data set, 33 schools were interviewed and 12 exemplary schools were selected to present.

Additionally, four districts were selected to present. These districts are part of the District Assistance and Intervention Team (DAIT) Pilot. These districts were selected based on site visits conducted by CDE staff and demonstrated promising practices that other districts may replicate at their site.
