COEs determine nominees. |
| March 25, 2013 |
Postmark deadline for COEs to submit nominations to the CDE. |

State selection committee reviews nomination forms and selects semifinalists. |
| April 2013 |
The State Superintendent of Public Instruction notifies the awardees. |
| April 2013 |
The CDE announces the Classified School Employee of the Year awardees. |
| May 20-24, 2013 |
Classified School Employee Week. |
| May 23, 2013 |
Awardees are honored at an event in Sacramento hosted by the CDE and event sponsors during Classified School Employee Week. |
