List of schools eligible to apply posted on the CDE California Distinguished School Awards Program Web page.	Late October
2013 Middle and High School Application posted on the California Distinguished School Awards Program Web page.	Late October
Technical assistance workshops by the Distinguished Schools Program Coordinators at county offices of education (COEs).	November
Postmark deadline for submission of 2013 Middle and High School Applications.	December 10
Legal compliance/complaint screening of applicant schools conducted by the CDE.	December-April
Evaluation of 2013 Middle and High School Applications conducted by local educators under the direction of the CDE.	January 9-11, 2013

COEs notified of evaluation results. COEs coordinate the preliminary notification to districts and school for site validations.	February
