Abstract:
The course is composed of four-week intensive support and review sessions beginning in mid-August targeting incoming grade 12 students. This model continues throughout the school year in various forms: before, during, and after school. Special Day Class students work in small groups with special education staff; the support class incorporates all accommodations and modifications that would be used on the CAHSEE. English learners work in small-group settings. Globe Fearon’s Meeting the California Challenge: English-Language Arts is provided to each student in the ELA course. Meeting the California Challenge: Math is provided for each student in the math course. Longitudinal test data with multiple disaggregations are provided to staff. Strand-gap analysis is provided at the district, site, and classroom levels.
The program is designed for grade 12 students who are within 25 points of passing the CAHSEE.

Grade 12 students, English learners, special education students, and eligible grades 9 and 10 students if space is available
