STAR LEA Summary

The purpose of providing this report is to familiarize users with the overall look and layout of the report. The report is titled, “20.1 – California Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) – LEA Summary.” Because this is an example only, the county name and LEA name are labeled “Censored.” School Type is indicated as “all” and the School designation is “all” as well.
The report is broken down into three main categories of:
- Test
- Students
- Percentage
The “Test” category contains the Content Area of the test and the Test Name.
The “Students” category contains the following subcategories and the counts associated with them:
- Grade Tested
- Testing Enrollment
- Number Tested
- Percent Tested
- Number Valid
Next, there is a Mean Scale Score that is outside of the main categories that have a Mean Scale Score that corresponds to each row of testing data for the “Students” category.
The “Percent” category shows the first two columns, which are Percent Advanced and Percent Proficient. Each row has data shown as a percentage that corresponds to each “Students” category, but includes totals when grade grouping is available.

This is the LEA Summary Report, which includes the County, Local Educational Agency name, School Type, and School name. The report displays for English-Language Arts the number of students tested, number valid, number and percentage passed, number and percentage not passed, percentages that are proficient, advanced, and not proficient or advanced. Similar categories are displayed for mathematics.Accountability Reports

This is the AYP-LEA Summary report, which includes various ethnicities and subcategories, ELA Inclusion Counts, ELA Reassigned, Math Inclusion Counts, Math Reassigned, Number Enrolled, Number Tested, Number Proficient, Percentage Proficient, Number that took the California Alternate Performance Assessment (CAPA) and Number that took the California Modified Assessment (CMA).Student Assessment History

This is the Student Assessment History report, which includes student and demographic information, such as the Assessment Year, Student’s Name and SSID, County, LEA Name, School Type, School Name, and Progress. The report also includes the student’s assessment history, including Program/Assessment, Test Content Area, Test Domain Name, Test Purpose, Academic Year, when the test is administered, Administration Date, Grade, Score, Performance Level, and Results.Current Use of CALPADS Data
