Deadline for Return of Tests Administered During 2006 Annual Assessment Window
The CELDT annual assessment window ended October 31, 2006. School districts are reminded to return completed tests promptly to CTB/McGraw-Hill (CTB), the test contractor, for scoring. Please note that the last day for requesting pickup of test materials is November 8. The last day that CTB will accept test materials being sent for scoring is November 15. Assessment tests received by CTB after November 15, 2006, will cause the following results:
- Tests will be returned to the school district at district expense.
- Districts sending test materials for scoring after the deadline will be considered to be out of compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Districts sending test materials for scoring after the deadline may be liable for excessive materials charges.
- Late annual assessment tests not scored by CTB are to be scored locally and results are to be kept on file.
- Locally scored results will not be reported on the California Department of Education (CDE) Web site.
Reminder
CELDT Form F is to be used July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007.
Initial Identification Results
Initial Identification data for Form E administered during the 2005-2006 school year, will be posted in November on the CELDT Reporting Web site. This will complete the posting of Form E results. The Form F results administered from July 1, 2006 through October 31, 2006, will be posted in April following the Data Review Module (DRM).
Apportionments Reminder
The CDE is required to send annual Apportionment Information Reports to school districts for verification by November 15. If you have not received your report by that date, please contact Kerri Wong, Standards and Assessment Division, at 916-319-0333 or by e-mail at kewong@cde.ca.gov.
Post-Test Workshops
CTB is providing Post-Test Data Workshops through November throughout the state. These sessions focus on the interpretation and use of CELDT data. The workshops are planned for participants with data processing skills who work directly with student data files and those who use CELDT data to make educational decisions.
