2011–12 PFT Update
- San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE), the state PFT contractor, received PFT data from approximately 89 percent of the local educational agencies (LEAs).
- 2012 PFT data submitted by local educational agencies accounts for approximately 97 percent of the students enrolled in grades five, seven, and nine.
- 2012 error rate is less than a 0.1 percentage points and the warning rate is almost 2.5 percentage points.
- Most Common Data Errors
- Date of Birth, Gender, and School Code. The Student cannot be scored with these error types.
- Push-Up, Curl-Up, and PACER, One-Mile Run (minutes), Height (inches), Bioelectric Impedance Analyzer, and Trunk Lift. The fitness area cannot be scored with these error types.
- Most Common Warnings
- Aerobic Capacity and Body Composition (Typically missing height or weight)
- Participation Level (Missing or incorrect values)
- Two-Part Ethnicity/Race Question (Missing or incorrect values)
- Hispanic or Latino Question (Yes/No)
- Races (Yes/Blank)
- National School Lunch Program (NSLP) Eligibility and Parent/Guardian Education Level (Missing or incorrect values)
- Flexibility (Missing or incorrect values)
- Tentative PFT Annual Release date is November 16, 2012
- Final PFT data correction window for 2011–12 will open September 7 through November 20, 2012
- Edits made during this window will not be reflected in DataQuest Summary Reports for annual release
- Final Student Scored Data file (P3) will be available on November 26, 2012 through the District Portal on the California PFT Web site.
- Summary and individual student score reports and final DataQuest files will be posted on January 2013
