TRT School Survey File Import Layout

Specifications for the import data file for the school-level information into the Smarter Balanced Consortium's Technology Readiness Tool (TRT).

Columns marked with an asterisks (*) indicate the field is required for evaluating network readiness requirements. The data for these fields must be present prior to marking the school as "complete."

Fields or values marked with two asterisks (**) denote new options added in August 2013.

7 Wireless Access Points Count Number of Wireless Access points for the organization value between 0 and 9999
8 * Max Number of Simultaneous Test Takers Maximum Number of Student Test Takers that will be doing online testing at the same time. This field is no longer used. However, the field remains in the layout for backward compatibility reasons.
9 Est Test Taker Count for 2014-2015 Estimated Student Test Takers count for the 2014-2015 Academic year This field is no longer used. However, the field remains in the layout for backward compatibility reasons.
10 * Length of Testing Window in Days Length of Testing Window (in School Days) For Smarter Balanced summative assessments, the testing window can be as long as 60 days.
11 * Number of Sessions per Day Number of Testing Sessions per day in which Student Test Takers will test

Valid values are 0-9.

The maximum number of separate testing time periods in a day planned for the majority of devices reported, e.g., if there are three labs and two of the labs will be used for two testing periods in a single day and the third will be used for one testing period, the sessions per day is two (2).

12 School Device Data Entry Complete Indicates that the school has completed entering their data

This field is no longer used. However, the field remains in the layout for backward compatibility reasons.

Schools must be marked complete by using the Mark Data Complete option from the Setup menu.
