Field Test Classroom Activity and Content Area Assignments Released
Local educational agency (LEA) assignments for performance task topics and classroom activity materials are now available on the California Smarter Balanced Field Test Classroom Activity and Content Area Assignments Web page . The Web page provides two critical pieces of information:
- The assigned classroom activity and performance task by content area
- The assigned content area(s) for each school and grade
Launch of Online Reporting System
The Online Reporting System (ORS) enables authorized users to view test progress information for students participating in the spring 2014 Smarter Balanced Field Test and is located on the California Smarter Balanced Field Test Web page
. For example, Test Site Coordinators can use ORS to report how many grade three students have completed the English-language arts performance task at his/her school. The ORS User Guide provides information about the ORS features that are available to authorized state, district, and school personnel and is located on the California Smarter Balanced Field Test Documentation and Resources Web page
Launch of Single Sign-on for Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) Users
Starting March 25, all TIDE system users in the LEA will have single sign-on rights to access the Test Administrator (TA) Interface and ORS located on the California Smarter Balanced Web page
. Starting on April 1, the single sign-on feature will also work for the TA Practice and Training Site. At the same time, any temporary TA Practice and Training Site usernames and passwords will be deactivated and should be discarded.
