Background
Beginning School Year 2022–23, California began implementing Universal Meals, which requires public school districts, county offices of education and charter schools to offer, at no cost, one nutritiously adequate breakfast and lunch that complies with the federal meal standards to all students each school day. This resource is meant to orient SNP Operators to related key program requirements, policies and other resources.
