2022 LSWP Triennial Assessment Waiver Extension

The California Department of Education (CDE) has received approval from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for an optional one-year extension of the local school wellness policy (LSWP) triennial assessment (TEA). Reports due to be completed by June 30, 2022 are now due June 30, 2023.

Use of these flexibilities is optional. If you choose, this additional time can support your teams with the data gathering, community engagement and reporting processes.

For agencies who have already completed the LSWP TEA this year, the waiver provides you the opportunity to reopen and reanalyze your approach to determine if you need this additional time to continue gathering important data.

The CDE is currently developing the waiver opt in process. You will not be considered delinquent with this report if you elect to use these flexibilities after June 30, 2022.
