Registration Open for 2019–20 Pretest Workshop!

Registration has opened for the 2019–20 CAASPP and ELPAC Pretest Workshop! The workshop, which will be held in various locations in January, is designed for local educational agency (LEA) CAASPP and ELPAC coordinators to learn how to prepare for and administer the CAASPP and the Initial and Summative ELPAC.

The Pretest Workshop will be held as follows; select a location to register for that particular session:

Newly Updated! Matrix Four: ELPAC Accessibility Resources

Matrix Four: ELPAC Accessibility Resources has just been updated to include embedded universal tools, designated supports, and accommodations. Embedded resources are now available as part of the technology platform for the new computer-based ELPAC. Matrix Four should be used in conjunction with the ELPAC Accessibility Resources for Operational Testing, which includes detailed information about the accessibility resources and their recommended use in operational assessments.

Computer-Based ELPAC Field Test

For all LEAs that are participating in the computer-based ELPAC field test, please note that the administration window has been extended to November 1, 2019. We encourage participating LEAs to test every student who has been assigned to take the test, and anticipate that this extension will help to make this possible.

ELPAC Question of the Week

This week, we highlight a commonly asked question from the field: “If a student is newly enrolled in my district and I want to view the student’s Initial or Summative ELPAC results, are there reports in the Test Operations Management System (TOMS) that I can access?”

The answer is yes. If you are an LEA ELPAC coordinator and the student is enrolled in your LEA per the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS), you can access the Summative Student Score Data Extract Report, available under the LEA Reports tab in TOMS.

When either report is selected, another screen will open to allow you to run the report by “Tested LEA” or “Enrolled LEA.” The “Tested LEA” report type allows you to view results for students who were tested by your LEA during that administration. The “Enrolled LEA” report type allows you to view results for students who currently are enrolled in your LEA per CALPADS. In addition, under the same tab in TOMS, you can request individual Student Score Reports (SSRs) for students who currently are enrolled in your LEA regardless of where they were tested.

To print individual SSRs, use the Initial ELPAC Print Student Score Reports option; another section will open where individual Statewide Student Identifiers can be entered to download the SSRs.
