Step Right Up: Training for New ELPAC Coordinators Next Month
Registration is still open for the 2018–19 New ELPAC Coordinator Training, designed specifically for coordinators who are new to this role! Attend this voluntary, half-day training to:
- Become familiar with the Initial and Summative ELPAC processes.
- Learn the details of the responsibilities of the local educational agency (LEA) ELPAC coordinator.
- Learn the suggested timeframes for completed activities.
- Explore procedures and practices that support a successful ELPAC administration.

Reminder—Professional Learning Opportunity for Science Teachers: CAST Academy
Calling all science teachers! The California Science Test (CAST) Academy will be held in October at five locations across California.
This year’s CAST Academy will provide K–12 teachers with a hands-on opportunity to “dig in” and collaborate with peers while learning about the expectations and design of the CAST, deconstructing performance expectations of the California Next Generation Science Standards, and using the CAST training test to identify test item demands.

for the upcoming Summative ELPAC Administration and Scoring Trainings (ASTs) is now available. These CDE-sponsored statewide trainings are scheduled for October 9 through November 29.
ELPAC Question Corner
- Is there a requirement to include a copy of the ELPAC Student Score Report in the cumulative folder?
No. There is not a requirement to include a copy of the student score report as long as it is accessible electronically and available upon request by another LEA or a parent/guardian.
