Learn how to leverage online tools, including:

  • Smarter Content Explorer
  • Smarter Annotated Response Tool
  • Interim Assessment Viewing System
  • Interim Assessment Item Portal

Participants will learn from other California educators about using resources and tools from the California Department of Education (CDE) to support the implementation of the formative assessment process in their local context. CDE staff will provide a live demonstration of two of the tools. The tools and resources discussed during this webinar are available to all California K–12 educators! Data-Driven Decision-Making Webinar

Registration remains open for “Data-Driven Decision-Making for Educational Leaders.” This two-hour webinar, which will be held on January 26 at 2 p.m., will focus on 2020–21 assessment data in regard to testing flexibility specific to that year. Brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, that flexibility allowed LEAs to use a locally administered assessment where COVID-related circumstances did not make the statewide assessments for English language arts/literacy and mathematics a viable option.

During the webinar, LEA- and site-level coordinators and administrators will review their spring 2020–21 locally administered assessment data, learn about Microsoft Excel tips and tricks to prepare that data for reporting in the School Accountability Report Card, and take a look ahead at next steps for using data for decision making.
